At first I thought this was some evil Microsoft trick for new installs which had not yet been activated with a valid product key, but I have successfully activated this installation of Windows 7 for my friend (using the automated phone prompts), so there should not be any evil tricks at play. The network is wired, the controller is an onboard Intel gigabit Ethernet. The driver is reportedly...

Wondering if anyone has any insight into this situation. I'll join a group of files that all show the same frame width and frame height in Windows Explorer. The resulting file does not show the width and height and they do not show in Properties. This happens with both MP4Joiner and Avidemux. Would a different file joiner give better results? If so, any recommendations (preferably a...

  • 12/11/18--05:59: Weird Other user appeared
  • Image: https://i.imgur.com/1XvHZX4.jpg I logged off of my account and I saw this "Other User" which I have never seen before. And nobody else operates this computer. I tried scanning with different Malawarebytes Antimalware Pro and Bitdefender Total Security 2018, but both said the computer was squeaky clean. I've been rolling without an antivirus since 2009 and only using common sense to...

I've been picking my hair the last few days trying to get updates working on this system. I started off with multiple errors in the CheckSUR showing corrupt files and missing manifests. I fixed most of them using the MS article except for a couple of KB files listed below. I did download the KB files referenced below and placed files into the correct location. After running DISM I am still...

Of course the script should load automatically. What I want to do is to run a setup: in particular it should install the Intel...

Ok so I know this isn't exactly a Win 7 question but... in a way, it kinda is. lol So I have an option to upgrade my existing Win 7 Ultimate, to Windows 10 Pro... and its giving me the option to save all my data, files, apps, etc... My question is, is there some way that I can check the integrity of these video files before I move them and also after the move ? As it is, the only way that I know of is to watch each video = it...
