After September 2018 patch Tuesday, I turned off my automatic updating after hearing some caused more problems than they solved. Of course, now I will not know which patches after that will be deemed "critical". I tried looking that up at Microsoft's Web site, but they do not indicate this. Have I missed anything? Should I leave it turned off?

Then I want to install all updates, drivers and programs required and the ones I use (office, av, chrome etc.)

Can't boot after windows updates

Wordpad won't gives error message that it can't open document
My documents are saved as .docx files. When I try to open one, an error message appears: "Wordpad

I currently have a gtx 660, but am wanting a newer gpu. $100 is my budget. If I have to I'll go a bit higher like 110 or so. I'm wanting a better gpu than the 660 that doesn't kill the bank. I do not mind if its a few years old and used.

Toshiba Satellite S70-A Windows 7: Randomly Freezing
Hello, my laptop is randomly hard freezing with no warning or error messages or blue screens. I have done a virus scan, chk dsk and Sfc/scannow and sfc/scan does detect some corrupted files, but I replaced them with clean files from a windows 7 install ISO file but they still show up as corrupt in the sfc scan.

GRUB2 is evil + Win 7 installation questions
