I was running windows 10 and my hard drive died a few months back.
I bought a larger HDD and reinstalled everything back to windows 10 and everything worked great.
A few days ago, the laptop got corrupted somehow and I had to reinstall windows 7 from backups I made before installing windows 10.
Now I can't get windows update to work at all.

Invitation to a Virus?
Greetings. I did a wipe of my hard drive using DBAN and subsequently among others, I installed Adobe Flash Player, & Java, both within the last couple of days. Since then, I have been getting pop ups on both telling me that they need to be updated. There are other things happening that lead me to believe that if I click into either one of them that I will be inviting a shutdown.

I have searched arount, i have tried to implement the exe file associations in the registry, I have run checkdisk, I have run SFC /SCANNOW, Which found corrupted files but was unable to fix, I have cleaned the registry but still no help, i have checked for malware and viruses. Looking for Event Viewer - Advertised steps producing empty folders
I'm trying to find my Event Viewer, on a Windows 7 OS. Seems easy enough, and it seems to start out OK, but it doesn't take me to Event Viewer and I just end up looking at an empty Administrative Tools folder.

Portable Chrome Browser
Hey guys, I would like to be able to have my personal Bookmarks and Passwords to use while fixing a clients pc, on their pc. Till now haven't bothered with it, but I think it would be nice to do.
