Greetings all,
So this problem seemed to pop up after I enabled the guest account feature. I have since disabled it.
Anyway, whenever I attempt to play music, a video, or anything with sound (including internet videos and stuff) the keyboard and mouse will both freeze. But the weird thing is, the video will keep playing and the computer will continue to apparently operate.

Windows 7 installation stuck on starting setup
Hi ,
I have a problem installing windows 7 on my laptop.
I was using my laptop regulary and all of the sudden it shut down and it wouldn't boot into windows.
My HDD isn't recognized in BIOS so I thought its my HDD, then I removed my HDD and replaced it with a working SSD. i can see the SSD in BIOS but i still get stuck on installation.

Solved Windows explorer not working...
Hi All, long time lurker, nearly always found my answer without posting, so thanks for that.

Since about 2 days ago if I open My Computer, Documents, Control panel, recycle bin, even try view Bluetooth devices I just get an blank window with rotating circle loading icon, window title is just "Windows Explorer".

Should I install IE10?
I'm an IT guy running W7 Ultimate 64bit in a January 2016-built system.
My main browser is Firefox, but I use IE9 occasionally.
However, just lately IE9 has been a little glitchy so I wondered if I should install IE10.
I'm not sure if 10 is still downloadable, but I have an archived copy that I grabbed in October 2015 (145MB) that I assume will work.

Solved Cannot sign into my own account, need to recover data
Quick backstory, I was having game crashes, was told maybe changing a setting in xbox app would help, so i made a burner account (irrecoverable email and password) to quickly change settings, not realizing that my computer would now become a 'microsoft account' instead of local -.-.
So now I have no way of recovering the login info, and I cannot access my account with all of my work data...

Solved Running programs appear minimized in taskbar but will not open
When I open one of my programs, I can see the icon appear in the task bar, but when I click on it to be able to use it, it doesn't open. I can see other programs being highlighted when I click the specific icon for the problem icon, but it never comes forward.

[RT7LIte] What is the point of RT_mount
Hello i was making my custom Windows 7 disk and i noticed that RT7 lite makes a folder in the temp folder called "rt_mount" and in that folder it has the Windows 7 files like "Program files" , "Windows" etc.
and i am wondering if i put some files in that folder it will appear on the Windows after installing it? And if that doesn't happen then what is the point of that folder?

It has been more than a month since the upgrade, and the computer no longer has the Windows.old folder.
It's a Dell XPS 8300, and has a Microsoft License number sticker on the case.

Windows 7 SP1 install error, Payload file missing

Use these forums for years and years, but have not needed to actually ask for help. But here I am!
Apparently a relative's computer has not been able to install SP1 since it was released. I have been tasked with resolving the issue. If it was not a primary "work from home" computer, It would have been wiped by now.
