For a long time I have been using Copernic Desktop Search and now I am told that it is known to cause crashes. So I would like to use the search box above the start button BUT I want to set it up so that it searches only the folders in my libraries - not the entire machine. Is there a way of setting this up? Would it find individual words or just file names? Are there any teach-yourself pages...

CPU is Throttling with High Performance power profile
My CPU keeps throttling down with the high performance power profile instead of staying at it's highest clock speed.
I've reset the high performance settings but still doesn't work.

BSOD with NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM Bugstring
Sorry I don't know very much about computers. I don't know what's the problem in my PC, I think its a hardware thing.
My computer is randomly showing BSOD (sometimes within an hour etc). But there is one day wherein it does not go into BSOD. Also some applications like google chrome or vlc suddenly crashes.

Shut down sticks in windows 7 start menu
I've read the tutorials on related subjects, but found no answer to this problem. Just reinstalled Win 7 Pro SP1 (a completely fresh install) and all options are selectable to the right of the power button . . . like shutdown, etc., In the start menu properties it is set to Restart and stays as such, but clicking the Start button the option is stuck on 'Shut down'.

I know that most updates can be installed manually by issuing the command pkgmgr /ip /m:filename.cab.
In the recommended updates section, there are 2 updated drivers for my soundcard and video card.
if I download the cab file manually and try to install it using this method, it won't work.
