I hope I can word this so that it makes sense...
When looking at any particular installed program in it's folder in Program Files, there is always a file "Application" that is a .exe file.
Is this file the same configuration/file as the downloaded installation file ?
In other words, if I were to copy that file to another machine, could I then right-click it and it install just the same...

Dell L702x: Cannot boot off the SSD Samsung 860 EVO
Dell XPS 17, L702x, latest firmware, BIOS version of A19. I've had 2 HDD in it, both 2.5". Both had Win7 and I cloned the primary boot HDD into the second HDD. Using Macrium Reflect. I made the disk bootable by bcdedit/bcdboot. And confirmed by EasyBCD.

really slow windows 7 i5 HP elitebook - need help speeding it up!
Any suggestions how to speed up my laptop? It is really laboriously slow .
Score : Processor 6.8
Memory : 5.9
Desktop Performance to windows aero 5.0 (lowest score)
Gaming Graphics : 5.8
Primary Hard Disk : 5.8
It takes forever just to start applications such as chrome. Not sure what to do. The drive has had regularly scheduled defrags.

JAVA Runtime Environment = Safe or Not Safe ???
I have a program that I want to install that says it requires JRE Version 7 or later.
Sometime ages ago, I purged anything JAVA from our machines and have thus far been careful to avoid it; I don't really know why; it just seemed like the smart thing to do at the time.

NVME driver for Adata XPG SX8200 pro
I purchased an Adata XPG SX8200 pro 1tb m.2 ssd. After install into the m.2 slot the drive is listed in the BIOS as an NVME drive but in Windows 7 it shows in device manager as a "PCI device" and has the "!" next to it. Under properties it shows that Windows cannot find a driver for this hardware. Of course the Adata website is no help.
My existing boot drive is an nvme Intel 750 series...

SSD Hard drive temporarily disappeared in Windows 7
During a Windows session my backup SSD Hard drive temporarily disappeared (not visible in explorer nor accessible) but reappeared after shutting down computer and restarting. Checkdisk shows no problems. Drive is 3 years old. This never happened before. Does it suggest the drive is about to fail or just something that is OK to live with.
