i am confused which is the best fastest configuration for me :-
my wlan adapter is the Intel Centrino 1030n Single Band (2.4ghz).
the way i see it, i have 6 configs i can choose from, but i cannot tell which is the best. Perhaps you could advise me. my Router is DLINK DIR-850L and inside router setting, both 2.4ghz and 5.2 are enabled. latching on to the 5.2 is of course not...

Word 2016 - Trust Center & maximum legacy access ?
A few days ago, I reset the Word 2016 Trust Center Settings (Win7 Pro) so that I could readily open, maybe save, earlier versions of Word documents (as far back as possible, at least 20 years, all created by myself).

BSOD after processor upgrade? (Phenom II X2 555 - Phenom II X6 1055)
I have an assembled computer that I have used since a few years ago without problems.
a few weeks ago, just because of curiosity, I replaced my Phenom II X2 555 with Phenom II X6 1055 (used).

Which driver disc?
I have an HP ProDesk 405 G2 Desktop PC. It came with a Windows 7 Professional SP1 OS DVD, 2 Windows 8.1 Pro OS DVD and 2 different Driver Recovery DVDs. I want to reinstall the Win 7 OS on this PC. How do I know which Driver Recovery disc to use? Should I use both? Neither?

Black screen after idling for some time
If I leave my PC idle for a few hours, it black screens and becomes unresponsive, requiring me to do a hard shutdown.
Not sure when exactly this started. Maybe about a month or two ago?

Unable to delete registry keys
I'm trying to completely delete a program and find traces of it in the registry. Changing ownership and permissions doesn't work, and neither using regdelnull64.exe works. I'm at a loss as to how to get rid of these several keys.

Batch File That Compresses VOB Files (and Deletes Them)?
Having some difficulty in getting a batch file to compress each *.VOB file from a DVD and then deleting the original *.VOB file.
I'm fairly new to batch file writing, so I don't know much about it at the moment.
Here is the batch file I've created so far (to the extent of just compressing VOB files, and not deleting the original files yet) -

Monitor USB hubs no longer recognized.
I have to DELL u2412 monitors with USB hubs connected to my WIN7 X64.
All was working well until
I had to place my PC on a new desk so I unplugged the connection and when I reconnected (probably to different usb ports).
When I restarted the PC all was working well for a few minutes until windows decided to update the drivers I probably connected to different ports.

Windows Update keeps resetting itself to automatic
I have a 2015 Dell Inspiron Win 7 machine. I set updates to allow me to choose when to download and install updates, but my machine always downloads any updates without asking me and says updates will install in 10 minutes unless I postpone (which I can do up to 4 hours at a time. Solved Latest Windows 7 Update Broke Chrome
Apparently last nights update has broken Chrome. When I try to open the browser all I get is a blank white screen.
Any suggestions?
*Edit: After rebooting in safe mode (without networking) Chrome came up with my standard homepage, bookmark toolbar, etc.
Another reboot and Chrome seems to be working.*
