I have a really fast computer for work, on windows 7 pro x64, SSDs, 32GBRAM
I have comodo as firewall and MSE as AV.
but sometimes, randomly, when I start a program like Notepad or vlc or mpc-hc,
or any program that usually start in less than 1 second,
sometimes the application will take 20 seconds if not more, to start.

USB Slow to Create Folders, Possible File Permission issue?

No login prompt when booting Win7
The machine in question was working well when it was last used, about a week ago.
On my return it failed to boot, and the automatic "recommended option" to repair the startup, failed repeatedly.
A search revealed that the same symptom was reported by "ilikemittens" in 2010.

BSOD 10-15 minutes after start up, error 0x0000007f
Started getting BSOD a few days ago, but haven't installed anything new. It crashes with error code 0x0000007f. I've uninstalled Norton and replaced it with Malwarebytes, since I've read Norton is responsible for a few BSOD crashes. Also uninstalled Daemon Tools. Autoplay no longer happens when I put in my USB flash drive
For years, inserting this same flash drive and caused Autoplay to come up and I could tell it to open in Windows Exploring. In the last week, it's stopped. Tried another USB flash, same thing.

Was there a non-security-update for IntExp11 in the last year?
I wonder whether there was a non-security update for Windows 7 (64bit) for Internet Explorer 7 in the last year (=after Oct 2017) until today.
Currently I update only security patches but have still stability problems with IE11
Maybe someone know the KB number and could tell me.

Just wondering: Why shouldn't I switch to Windows 10 now? Why is 7 the preferred OS? I'm a newbie to operating systems, and genuinely prefer Windows 7's overall style and feel over Windows 10, but I know Windows 10 is supposed to be faster and overall more smooth than Windows 7. I'm a casual gamer and programmer, so I'd like to hear why others do not upgrade to Windows 10.
