Hi there one and all. New to the forum. I have a laptop with a solid state drive. Says 111G.
Went to the C drive and added all the different things like windows, prog' files etc. All up it came to about 83Gb. Windows being 30.6Gb. Looking at disk space it says 13.8 of 111 empty. That makes 97.2Gb. Not the 83Gb. No doubt there are hidden files and some memory set aside.

How to stop tasks from waking up PC?
One of my PCs keeps waking up from standby, with no input from me. I have set things so that the (home) network and devices (keyboard/mouse) should not do this, but I still have the problem.
I ran this in a CMD window
powercfg -lastwake
and got the result in the screenshot.

Task Scheduler Problem
Hello- Windows Task Scheduler will not open most of the time & getting worse. The newest messages I am getting has to do with the Microsoft Management Control (MMC) snap in problem. I have 2- older screen shots of what I saw initially. Solved Removing old Logitech Quickcam Drivers
Edit: Feel free to move this to Drivers sub-forum, as I just noticed it's probably more relevant there.
*SOLVED:*Fixed the issue. It was just two registry entries in HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class where there was a key named LowerFilters pointing to the old driver. After backing up the two entries, I deleted the corresponding LowerFilters keys and rebooted and the old filter...

While installing Win 7 can't find DVD drivers on Vista
Friend has a Vista 32 bit and he just bought a Win 7 installation disk. Keep getting the message "A req CD/DVD drive dev driver is missing....." when installing 7.
Someone suggested f8 on Vista boot and selecting Disabled Driver Signature Enforcement. But then just boots to Vista. Tried rebooting right after that with Win 7 disk in but still got the driver missing window.
