Yesterday the power went off in my sisters house, since then my nephews PC wont turn on i had a look this morning and the fans, motherboard and graphics card lights are coming on but the PC itself isnt coming on - i suspect it could be the motherboard but i thought i would ask if it could be soming less costly

MP4 preview thumbnail not showing up in explorer.
I need a freeware program to cut or trim video's. It doesn't have to be very sophisticated.
But a preview of video and audio tracks is vital.
Windows Mediaplayer 12 doesn't dislay a MP4 video thumbnail with a picture of the actual video.
I only see a standard (one note) thumbnail in explorer.
WMP can play MP4 files.
However, it often fails to play the music or sound added to the video....

Changing default view "details" (e.g. see URLs in all subfolders)
Hi,
When viewing folders using "details" in order to see, well, details of folders and items, I want to always see "URLs" and "date created", while removing other tags, such as "date modified."
How do I do it for all folders in general or all folders within a folder instead of doing it for each folder alone?

Reinstalling WIN 10 - Dual Booting with WIN 7
Somehow Windows 10 was completely deleted from my 120 SSD. I was dual booting at one time with Win 7 but that quit working before losing Win 10. Disk Management has my info all wrong & I can't figure out how to delete Healthy Recovery Partitions.
I have a 1TB Hard Drive that I had WIN 7 & Storage on in 2 partitions. I hope someone can help me straighten this out before I install WIN 10 again.

Monitor Calibration Profiles
Long ago, in a prior version of Windows, I had 3 monitor profiles that were easy to get to and change. I saved the default calibration, one for any new calibration done thru Windows, and the last one was the calibration done thru the built in function of a photo editor I was using at the time.

removed macros sevral times to no avail
Have word.doc opens with a macro warning. See below image. Tried to remove macros several tims to no avail. They just keep reappearing. But once I cancel the macro warning I can open .doc. Have rum malwarebytes, superantispyware, panda cloud cleaner & they found nothing.
Is there a program I can use to locate & remove to remove macros?

I am no expert. My wife has a desktopPC Windows 7 . Internet Explorer. I also have a user account on the same pc.
On her account the Home Page has suddenly started flashing and is unusable. My account is ok.
USING iNTERNET eXPLORER. I have unplugged Monitor and plugged back in. Have run Virus checks, etc.

Suggestions for most successful Homegroup setup
Hi! Does anyone have good advice about how to setup Homegroup in one's home? I've tried to do it before, but the computers in our home stubbornly still weren't willing to share with each other. Can't login to specific web pages on any browser
I am not able to login to certain websites no matter which browser I use. I have tried clearing the cache and disabling anti-virus but it gets hung up. When I use the debugger on internet explorer I get an script5: access denied error. I am on a home pc and network.

Can Easy File Transfer be used to 'cleanup' an older W-7 PC?
If I run Easy File Transfer and direct it to transfer all User files to a new W-8.1 PC can I safely:
Delete all User files from the original PC.
Delete all Software Programs that Easy File Transfer says were not transferred from the original PC.
Wind up with just W-7 on the original PC?

my brushes from before will not show in 2018
my plugins (i have put them on 3 places) they don't show up in paint shop pro 2018
