windows media player for windows 7 corrupted.
My videos on media player are playing sound but not the video. some videos are AVI, MP4, XESC etc so i believe its my codec? i have tried all windows fault finding like reinstall etc.

Want plug my win7's rj45 cable into different router and print
I have a www connected win7 it uses a TC LINK ROUTER. It cant find my linksys router on IP address 192.168.1.102 .
I would like to unplug from the TC link and plug into the linksys and print at times. But the www win7 computer is blind to the linksys router and the network printer that is connected to it.
I suppose I could change the Ip addresses on the linksys router and printer...

Solved How can I locate my Email Server Password from Easy File Transfer?
My former Systems CPU died.
I chose to rebuild from the Windows-7 Pro install disk.
Selectively, I want to transfer 'some' of the Easy File Transfer data which I had taken prior to the failure.
I installed Office Basic 2007 as that was the Product we used for years.
Office is now asking me for the User Name and Password our ISP has on file.
I could install all of the Easy File Transfer data...

Cant connect to the net. check DNS configuraton
1 laptop suddenly stopped connecting to the net,
the wifi says all ok.
Other laptops and device all connect ok.
I got a error message on the working on this morning, saying that another device has the same IP address as this one, please contact your administrator (which is me DOH) lol.
any help much appreciated.

Hello, I need help in tracking down the root cause of the BSOD issue that I am living with from past few weeks. I installed avast driver checker and updated the drivers that the tool recommended but no luck.

Unable to do anything Admin related in Control Panel as administrator
I tried to change firewall settings but when I click on "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" nothing happens, no error or sound. Nothing happens when I click on any other option with the shield except for device manager, event viewer and disk management. I also tried the "Administrator" user account and had the same problem.

Win 7 Pro 64-Bit is unable to see my 3TB hard drive partitions
I have a 3TB hard drive on which I created three logical partitions and no primary partition at all. This was done in Windows XP. I am able to see the partitions in Windows XP and access them perfectly. I bought a set of two ZyXEL - PLA4201 Powerline Ethernet adapters years back. Over a move I cannot find one of the adapters. Does anyone know if this model is compatible with another ZyXEL model or even a different brand or does it have to be another PLA4201?

I have a Folder with many thoughts that I have copied in both German and English.
Now that I have some time on my hands I thought I would put this data in a different
folder with two sub-folders named German and English, but I am prevented from doing
this because the two "Paste" controls are greyed out.

How to prevent ONE hard drive from spinning down?
My computer contains one SSD + four noisy HDDs that I don't use very often (mostly just storage and backup).
To keep my computer quiet and prevent wear & tear, I've set my Power Options to spin down the drives after 20 minutes :)
The problem is that it also spins down my D drive - where I keep my Desktop, all my work, and stuff I use all the time. I hate having to wait for this to spin up!...

the result is my new HD corrupted

Easeus and data lifeguard wd not detect any disk (in case of data lifeguar in recognise volum but nothing there no number and no disk)
If everything fail I plan on getting refund from the shop
