Never had this problem before but i've tested all drives and they are working fine, checked cables.
I go into the BIOS and nothing is selected to boot up so i check the box for the drive...press enter and exit.
I reboot and and it's fine but when i shut down it goes back to no selection...any ideas please?

I have a computer that is having issues where I get a pop up each time a log in that says "Cannot create file C:\Windows\System32\wbem\Logs\wbemess.log". I have followed the file path tried renaming the "logs" folder to "Logs old" Also tried deleting "logs" folder. There was no change. Latest W7 update -- need issue information
I have a laptop, W7.
There are 2 updates in June.
I read there is an NIC issue with the update.
Would this effect my set-up?

Problem running Office 97 install in XP Mode
Trying to install MSOffice 97 under Virtual PC XP Mode, but getting error:
Can't run 16-bit Windows Program
Insufficient Memory to run this application.
Have tried both increasing (2048MB) and decreasing (256MB) memory available to XP Mode. Can not find any relevant info though searches I've tried. Hoping someone here can help.

Solved Microsoft Excel won't let me keep a leading 0 in a cell.
I keep the info of twenty some bank accounts on a spreadsheet with columns for interest rate, bank name, routing number, account number, username, password, balance, etc. I added a new row for a new bank which has a routing number of 011303097, but after I enter that into the cell, it drops the leading 0. Universal serial bus controller is faulty in Win7 device manager
I have a new install of Win7 on an MSI 760gma 34.
I have an older Yamaha RPU100 receiver which I've been using for years and is quite old.
But it plays well through previous builds.
After running the install disk for the Yamaha, there is a device listed as Other and exed out
with the usual yellow marking in Device Manager.

I have my computer powered on all the time (during sleep the fans helps to mask my tinnitus),
but I've been wondering if it's a smart idea to turn the disk save option on whilst I sleep?
I already use a custom power save option for when I sleep, but I'm unsure if I should turn this on.
I have an SSD & 3 hard disks, but I've read that continuous spinning up & down,...
