seven starter does not recognize an external hard disk.
this HP mini 110 have one USB connection on left and two on right side of the case. I connected Toshiba 1TB external HDD in each connection, but Seven starter does not recognize.
Message said not recognize device. After I repeated connected and disconnected many times, Seven recognized.
Do you know the fix?

firefox does not run
When Seven Starter in HP mini 110 get connected with WIFI in the shopping mall or university, Firefox does not run.
I have to log in on their page, but i do not see that.
This message showed up.
after I disabled security add ons except Avast Internet security,
same message showed up
FF was working weeks ago.
In contrast, another browser is working.
Do you know the fix?

A friend has a HP EliteBook 850 G3 and keeps getting bothered by the HP Update Agent... does anyone know how to turn this off?
FYI, I ran msconfig as an Administrator and found the following...

Norton Ghost can't see HDD or DVD (both SATA controllers)
After many years using a Norton Ghost boot disk to copy one partition to another, this doesn't work with my new computer. For the first time the motherboard connectors are SATA, both for the HDD and the DVD Drive.
I boot up with the Ghost disk and get a message that no DVD/CD Drive can be found, and the process stops.
I know I can change the settings from SATA to IDE in the BIOS. Would that let...

Event ID 1002 every morning turn desktop icons to white boxes
Every morning (This is not exaggeration) I do mean EVERY MORNING, I get Event ID 1002 DHCP-Client that says:
"The IP address lease 192.168.x.x for the Network Card with network address 0xE0CB4E2F7281 has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.x.x (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message")

Why does networking setup affect Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse lag?
My new Microsoft Sculpt bluetooth mouse has a mind of its own. It is like using a long thin willow branch as a pointer. Temporary Computer Freezes
Hi guys if anyone could help me with this issue i've been having it would be greatly appreciated!
Basically, my computer will 99% of the time function completely normally but on occasion (maybe once every 5-10 minutes) the screen and audio just freezes for 2-3 seconds then returns to normal. It's really annoying and I'm worried it could progressively worsen if I don't get it sorted out.

Longer boot time
Lately, my comfuser has seemed just a bit sluggish during boot-up. So I did some maintenance: EasyCleaner, CCleaner, Defraggler, Windows own Disk Cleanup (including System Files & Restore Points).

Problem with taskbar
So, this thing started happening 2 days ago, I thought it's random coincidence, but it continues to happen.
If I enter fullscreen mode while watching something on youtube, the taskbar stays over the screen, like this Screenshot by Lightshot (http://prntscr.com/bfyr7i) and I can't see pause button, and then if I wanna see it, I need to press either Opera button in taskbar or in this case WoW...

Fresh load, windows updates wont find..
So ive found certain machines do this. Dont know why. Fresh load and I try to install the convience updates. First one goes fine. The big update sat for over 24hours searching. Ive seen about 3 out of 20 machines that have done this one. Gaveup on it and updated the agent to the newest one. Its been searching for updates since friday and hasnt found anything just still searching.

How to restore opened folders on crash or power failure?
Hi everyone, i usually work with several opened folders, and Windows 7 has an option to restore them after a Shut Down or Reboot, but it seems that it doesnt work when a power failure or BSOD happens, because after powering on again, the folders doesn't reopen.
I would like to know if there is a way editing the registry or a software that may save the opened folders at the moment they are...
