I have backups set to wake my laptop when it is plugged in.
However, sometimes I sleep my machine even when plugged in by closing the lid. In that situation, I do not want the wake timers to wake it, because it is likely to get too hot, because the room is warm.
I do not see any way to have wake timers enabled, yet not have them wake the computer when the lid is closed. Anyone know if...

BSOD on random occasions every few hours.
I was on windows 7 professional 64 bit and everything was fine, then upgraded to win10, since then all sort of BSOD's with different error messages were happening.

I have lost a lot of weight and wanted to show it. I want to combine a Before Picture and an After Picture side by side. I have two JPG files. Is there anyway to digitally combine them into one file? Rights to clone/reinstall my Win 7 Ultimate OEM on replacement SSD
I bought an OEM Win 7 Ultimate disk from NewEgg in 2014, and am now running it in a dual-boot configuration on an SSD with Linux Mint. I had hoped to clone this SSD, but Clonezilla didn't work, and I'm not confident that Acronis Disk Image would work, either.
If I don't find a satisfactory disk cloning solution, I might prepare to reinstall both OSs and a lot of software it the SSD goes...

Solved Windows explorer has stopped working loop

Network and Sharing Center doesn't detect networks.
I connect as usual to my WiFi, and my connection is solid, browser works, everything connected as per usual.

What is this strange user folder?
My Windows 7 pro laptop contains a user account folder that is not a user in the ordinary sense -- there is no login for that user. Its name is /stan_2/ and is a sub-folder to /Users/. My normal user name is stan, but I have the folders /stan/ and /stan_2/. Explorer says /stan/ was created 12/07/09, /stan_2/ was created 09/05/14.

Vertical red lines across LCD display
Does anyone know if there's a way to fix this LCD screen? It's a 28" screen that is out of warranty. Sometimes it shows 3, sometimes 2 vertical red lines.

A box appears whenever I try to enter text in Word 2002
I probably have some setting checked, but don't know which one it is. Whenever I try to enter text in my document, using Word 2002, a large "box" appears, as though it is expecting me to insert something like a picture or whatever. If I create a new document, everything works fine, so that's why I'm sure that I've simply enabled some setting that needs to be unchecked.

I had been experiencing buzz sound in my headphones 2-3 months back which I fixed by changing the frequency to 'studio quality'(192000 Hz), every other frequency was buzzing and didn't have any response.

My windows is trying to updated to windows 10 every time I tell him to update patches. For some reason he ignores the fact that I have untick windows 10 update and he still try to push it in :- (((
