I cannot hear any sound when I'm using the pc
I went for a vacation, and when I came back, turned my pc on, everything is working fine but I cannot hear any sound on my pc. nothing. no warning signs no errors nothing. :confused: I un-installed my driver and re installed it, but no affect. I have a sound blaster X-fi extreme audio card, Asus P6T motherboard, and core i7 920 2.67Ghz cpu 6GB DDR3 Ram on 64bit Windows 7.

Windows Update issues.
So I clean installed Windows 7 and set up wifi.
It works fine except for windows update not working.
I get error 800f0900.
I have tried the Windows 7 readiness tool,Microsoft fix it tool, and windows update diagnostic.
None of these work and I still get an error.
Any ideas.

BSOD playing games (0x1E/A/C5/F3...)
Hey, just like a month ago I started having these blue screen every time I'm in the middle of a game (rarely while using Firefox too).

Unable to change default audio playback device
I have speakers and a headset set up and previously i was able to switch between which device the audio played out with no problem. However, when i click set default audio device nothing happens. The button is still bold and when i test the device sound still comes out. I have reinstalled their respective drivers. I have reinstalled my sound card drivers.

Looking for freeware to burn bin/cue other than imgburn
The title says it all. I'm looking for a freeware program that will allow me to burn bin/cue files that ISN'T img burn. I know this used to be the go-to program for this but they now get flagged by most anti-virus software for their habit of installing bloatware, even when you uncheck all the bloatware during install, without the users permission. I don't use programs that install other programs...

Detail view since June WUP
The first picture is a Detail View of a Sandisk Cruzer Glide 8G and the second is a PNY USB 3.0 128G. I "believe" this started after the June WUP. I also had key clicks on file selection but I found out how to correct that but this issue nothing so far.

I looked at the ram and it appears pc3 10600s but Speccy and Cpu Z says 10700 !!!

bsod because of atikmdag and other gfx driver things
Hi all,
I was having BSODs a few times in a week (sometimes a few times in a day), I was aware that they were because of my graphics card drivers, I searched for a solution on the internet for some time, but nothing worked. (Using old gfx drivers etc.)
Interestingly, I had realised they were always happening when Firefox was open, so I started using Chrome; and they had ceased to happen.

Can I disable windows firewall when I have Avast
I want to speed up my computer, so I found that when I disable some services from service.msc it will kind of speed it up, so can I disable windows firewall when I have avast, is avast an alternative for it.
